Ryan and I met studying for finals at the University of Arkansas. Shortly afterwards he left for Brazil and I headed to Europe. Being on opposite time zones with horrible wifi didn’t make it easy to connect, but he was so worth it. I remember walking miles to find wifi just so I could hear the sound of his voice. My affections for Ryan grew daily and I found myself daydreaming of him often. We started dating shortly after I returned home.
After a senior spring break cruise with my best friends, Ryan surprised me at the cruise port. My friends handed me a bag, and he said “you’re coming with me”. He took me on a road trip along the Georgia coastline that ended in Savannah. We spent the day exploring the city – Spanish ivy, horse drawn carriages, and cobblestone streets – it was so dreamy. At the end of the night, we got dressed up and he proposed to me on Lafayette square. We ended the day with a candlelight dinner by the river at a fancy restaurant. It was the dreamiest day and I had never been so happy.
Our wedding day was a dream come true and I have so many special memories.
- After our first look, Ryan washed my feet and gave me a bible with my new name on it. He read passages about how he would love and serve me. It was such a sweet moment and full of so much depth and meaning.
- After the ceremony, Ryan and I had a private dinner in the middle of the woods at sunset. It was such a romantic moment because we got to sit down as husband and wife without any distractions!
- We cared about the little details to create our dream wedding and it was so worth it! I absolutely loved working with Cindy with Eventfully Yours. She made the entire day run so smoothly, and helped make our dream come to life!
